SUBMISSIONS

We love to share creative work from talents anywhere around the world. We focus on storytelling. Currently, we publish every 2 months. (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) Some of our issues are themed. (please check the themes below and follow our moodboards). If you would like to contribute to our magazine, please read our submission guidelines below:

Note / Terms of submission

  • Submitted images must be your own original work

  • If submission is made by team member other than the photographer, please attach a photographers release form along with your submission 

  • If submissions are accepted, you grant afi magazine the unrestricted non-exclusive rights to use your submitted work for any magaizne issue, online and in print, and for promotional use in relation to afi magazine. The copyright remains with the photographer or copyright holder.

  • Accepted images may be cropped, and edited to fit the magazine style and layout. Afi Magazine reserves the right to edit material and assumes no responsibility concerning any error and/or omission.

  • No monetary compensations are granted on submissions and publications 

  • High res PDF tear sheets are provided (we do not provide free print copies to contributors)

  • afi magazine reserve the rights to share published work selectively (i.e not all published work are shared on Instagram or other media platforms).    

Fashion / beauty editorials (print & online )

  • Editorials must show a cohesive story with minimum 4 looks (for single looks please submit to solo section) 

  • All works must be unpublished (e.g. blog, social media, other magazines). If contents are found published elsewhere, it will be pulled from publication

  • For submissions via email - please submit 8-20 images via pdf or small preview jpeg

  • Once accepted, we will ask you to provide

    • full team credits (including social media links) using this form

    • high res images via wetranfer (300 dpi, jpeg)

    • (note: submission can still be declined if the final information submitted are not adequate) 

  • Our magazine orientations are:  portrait W 8.5" x H 11" and landscape is W 17" x H 11"

  • We prefer images that are in portrait orientation. For images in landscape orientation, we prefer that the subject is not in the center of the image for print purposes.

  • We can provide pull letters upon request. Please email us to discuss your concepts and links to your portfolio.

  • 2 webtorials are selected each week by our editors  

  • Submissions does not need to be exclusive to afi magazine 

  • Minimum 2 looks

  • submit 5-15 images in low res jpeg or pdf for preview 

    • Once accepted, we will ask you to provide

      • full team credits (including social media links) using this form

      • high res images via wetranfer (300 dpi, jpeg)

  • accepted webitorials will be released on our webitorial page. Not all webitorials will be shared on social media

interviews

Interviews (print)

  • Whether you are a photographer, model, designer, make up artist, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist, retoucher, arts director, lighting assistant, we want to hear from you

  • If you (or someone you know) would like to be featured in our print magazine, please send us an email briefly introducing yourself and your brand

  • Please include 5-10 samples of your work via a link to your dropbox / wetransfer folder (or equivalent)

  • Our team will contact you via email to arrange a brief interview via email or skype

Videos

  • Send us your behind the scene, fashion videos, or any other clips you think might fit for our magazine to be featured online

  • Please send us a URL link to your video with a title
